Monadnock Quilters' Guild
Mission: To promote the art of quilting through education. To share our love of fabric, design and color - to be inspired and encouraged by one another and to supply quilts for those in need.
Our members are as varied as any quilt ever made. There are more than 60 members from 12 different towns in the region, all sharing a common thread - the love of quilting. Our experience levels range from beginner to expert. Activities include monthly meetings, workshops, a biennial quilt show, cozy covers and more. Guests and non-quilters are always welcome. |

Please Help!

There is a home in Mexico which houses, at the moment, 79 abandoned children. It was started by a couple and their 4 children and originally housed a very small number of kids. Several organizations in the Peterborough area, to include churches, have been providing assistance in the form of blankets, toys and other items. There is a group from the area that travels to Mexico at least twice a year to help them do repairs and expand their facility. The poverty is overwhelming and so they need much.
We thought it might bring them some joy if we made a pillowcase for each child. Our goal is to complete 100 pillowcases by the April meeting. We will provide a limited number of pillowcase "kits" at the February meeting, but members are encouraged to provide any that they can make on their own. There is a group that will go down to Mexico in May, and they will deliver them personally.
